After three years of absence due to the reconditioning carried out in his Foundation, Luis Seoane’s work is the subject of an exhibition that brings to light outstanding pieces belonging to the institution’s legacy. Luis Seoane. Identity, Historical Memory and Social Movements places these works within three major thematic blocks that highlight different aspects of the Galician artist’s thought, in which the postulates of the European avant-garde, the vindication of Galician history, traditions and identity, the American art and culture, the political commitment and the incorporation of Galicia into the principles of modernity coexisted.
Curated by Silvia Longueira and María Antonia Pérez, the exhibition distributes a series of oil paintings, engravings, drawings, editorial production and other media in two rooms according to the three sections referred to in the title.
