33 writers drawn by Luis Seoane

/

The exhibition 33 escritores debuxados por Luis Seoane (33 writers drawn by Luis Seoane) focuses on two of Seoane’s preferred forms of expression: writing and drawing. As part of his relationship with literature, Luis Seoane was active in practically every field possible: as a reader, of course, but especially as a publisher, illustrator, prologue writer, critic, communicator, and author. The drawings in this exhibition work more as a set than as isolated pieces. They signal the literary interests that made Seoane one of the Galician intellectuals who truly made an effort to highlight the talent of the greatest international authors. He did so following his own judgement, which he built upon a life dedicated to culture. The 33 drawings that make up the show can be divided into three categories: Galician writers, Spanish-speaking writers, and those who wrote in languages other than Spanish. The exhibition includes some books and press clippings that evidence Seoane’s dedication to literature.
